Salvador Brown born in Aotearoa, New Zealand with bloodlines that connect him to the islands of Samoa and the Gaelic and Norsemen tribes. Growing up as a child of the Pacific Sisters he was immersed from an early age in many aspects of Pacific Culture in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. Spending his formative years in London town as a member of cultural group Ngati Rānana and collaborating with collectives like In*ter*is*land Collective, Sistar Spacific and SaVĀge K’lub creating cultural exchange with Museums and Galleries across Europe.

His art practice focuses on storytelling through making and playing Measina Logo Moana & Taonga Puoro Māori (Traditional Musical Instruments) reminding us of the shared Fāgogo & Pūrakau (Stories) of the great Moana nui. He now starts the journey as the Nui Ali’i Loa to the SaVĀge K’lub, and under the title of Pepe Tuna Productions he creates works that bring the sound of the past into the present.
